Hotel Indigo Auckland - Hotel PR Launch
For the launch of New Zealand’s first Hotel Indigo, Moda worked alongside GP Communications to position Hotel Indigo Auckland as more than a new city hotel - but as a lifestyle destination with a strong sense of neighbourhood, heritage and creative connection.
The launch programme brought together media relations, hosted media moments, influencer stays, strategic partnerships and brand storytelling across the hotel, residences and wider lifestyle offer. This included a VIP penthouse preview, media famils, art partnerships with Stu Robertson and Raukura Turei, and culturally aligned partnerships with Oosterom, New Zealand Fashion Week and Cadillac - each designed to connect the hotel to Auckland’s fashion, art, automotive and design communities.
Moda and GP Communications also developed the Oosterom partnership, commissioning designer Nicole Hadfield to create bespoke uniform accessories inspired by the hotel’s neighbourhood, architecture and historic motor house story. Alongside this, Hotel Indigo Auckland was confirmed as the Official Accommodation Partner of New Zealand Fashion Week 2025, further strengthening the hotel’s role as a connector within Auckland’s creative landscape.
The launch and partnership activity generated 268 pieces of coverage, including 45 print articles, with a potential online reach of 1.02 billion and potential print reach of 10.2 million - helping establish Hotel Indigo Auckland as a distinctive new hotel brand in the city.
